KITA PRIHATIN PACKAGE

As announced by our Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on 23 September 2020, the government will be implementing several initiatives and additional assistance under the PRIHATIN Supplementary Initiative Package (KITA PRIHATIN) in line with its efforts to boost economic recovery.

The KITA PRIHATIN Package includes the followings:

Targeted Wage Subsidy Programme 2.0 (WSP 2.0)

Who are entitled?

  • employers who are still affected and facing lower revenues of at least 30 percent compared to last year
  • The employer must register with SOCSO by 31 August 2020

What is the amount of subsidy?

  • the wage subsidy is given for up to 3 months at a rate of RM600 per month for each employee up to a maximum of 200 employees;
  • For new applicants who have not received the wage subsidy prior to this, they will now be eligible to receive the wage subsidy for up to 6 months

When to apply ?

  • Application will be open from 1 October until 31 December 2020.
 

Special Grant Prihatin (Geran Khas Prihatin – GKP)

Who are entitled ?

  • Micro businesses which have never received GKP aid before
  • Applicant must be Malaysian citizen
  • Applicant is carrying out Micro Enterprises as follows:
    • Annual sales turnover of less than RM300,000; and –
    • Having less than 4 full time employees (Excluding business owner)
  • Must register with the following on or before 31 August 2020:
    1. Inland Revenue Board (IRB); or
    2. Local Town Council Authorities (PBT) or Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM)
  • Must be still active in running business during submission of the application

What is the amount of grant ?

  • RM3,000

  • Expected to pay out by 25 November 2020

 

Bantuan Prihatin National 2.0 (BPN 2.0)

Who are entitled?

  • Applicants who have received the previous BPN 2020

What is the amount of subsidy?

When to apply?

  • No application is required for applicants who have received the previous BPN 2020
  • New application or appeal can be made from 15 October 2020 onwards
